What does the Quick 2 Fix lifetime warranty require?
Lifetime warranty is offered by our shop and not in conjunction with any other ArmorThane dealer. To maintain your lifetime warranty you must have a yearly inspection of your roof by Quick 2 Fix RV Repair Service, LLC. We can perform this through different options:
On site inspection (provided you are in our mobile service area)
Bring it to our shop (Appointment only)
Via video call (This will require customer to be on their roof). If you chose the video call be sure to take all safety precautions necessary.
Is the lifetime warranty transferable?
Lifetime warranty is transferrable! Notify us and have new owner contact us within 5 business days of purchase (proof required) to setup their new account. We can perform an inspection upon request from new owner and use that as new inspection date. A $150.00 transfer fee may be applicable. Yearly dates for inspection will remain the same upon transfer.
Will polyurea void the RV manufacturer warranty?
This depends on your specific RV manufacturer and the warranty terms. Most factory RV roof warranties expire within 1–3 years and primarily cover manufacturing defects, not wear from UV exposure or weather. If your factory roof warranty is still active, consult your dealer or manufacturer before applying any aftermarket coating.
For RVs out of the factory warranty period — which is the case for most RV owners considering a roof coating — there are no warranty concerns from the manufacturer’s side. Always disclose any previous repairs or modifications to your certified applicator so the coating system is tailored appropriately.
How should an ArmorThane roof be cleaned?
When washing roof be sure to only use mild soap & water. Do NOT use bleach or abrasives. Do NOT pressure wash!
Should you notice any defects, concerns, or component issues, be sure to note with pictures and notify Quick 2 Fix RV Repair Service, LLC within 5 business days for any physical damage. All components need to be either installed by Quick 2 Fix RV Repair Service, LLC or customer must have unit resealed by Quick 2 Fix RV Repair Service, LLC within 5 days of repair. Maintain a record of any repairs or component resealing performed.
Does the coating add significant weight?
No. A sprayed polyurea roof adds surprisingly little weight and falls completely within the structural load limits of any motorhome, fifth wheel, or travel trailer.
For perspective, completely coating the roof of a massive 44-foot coach at the industry-standard thickness only adds about 120 to 160 pounds to the entire vehicle. That is roughly the equivalent of adding one average-sized adult to the rig, with their weight distributed perfectly evenly across the entire roof surface.
Because polyurea forms a completely seamless, permanent waterproof barrier, this minor weight addition is ultimately much lighter than the heavy, water-logged wood framing that often results when traditional EPDM or TPO rubber roofs fail and begin absorbing water through micro-leaks.
